    US

The Vipers FC is a grassroots sports community soccer club that offers the local community to be part of a family focused environment.  We offer, to the local community, the opportunity to participate in the sport of soccer to maintain an active and social lifestyle.  As well as encouraging participation in the sport of soccer, we also offer social events throughout the year, like quiz and or bingo nights, family day and ladies’ day.

We have secured the St Clair oval on Woodville Rd/Brocas Avenue, which is easily accessible to all patrons, and has great amenities available to both players, members and supporters. It includes brand new change rooms, storage facilities and great night lighting for training.

The Vipers FC is a fully incorporated organisation and has set club rules, guidelines and policies all within the clubs constitution.  The committee of management is responsible for the running of the club.  The committee of management consists of a President, Vice President(s), Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary and General Committee members.

The club also has very strong links to the local community and we boast over 200 members, friends and family.  Our membership includes senior men, junior girls/boys, club members, supporters, family, sponsors and life members.

Going forward, the club is focused on expanding junior teams, attaining permanent goals all year round, securing a ground lease all year round and, finally, building community club rooms for the club, its members, supporters, sponsors and the local community.

  • HISTORY

The club has been going since 2007 and, in that time, we have had many different people use our training facilities, come along to our training sessions or play for one of our teams. We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the club, which has led to the club’s growth and success.

In our humble beginning in 2007, the Vipers FC started in division 4 Saturday which was a single team competition.  During the following year, 2008, the club grew to two teams which qualified us for division 3.  Division 3 saw the club finish third and, due to a team leaving the competition above, saw the Vipers get promoted to division 2.  In 2009 Division 2, the club grew to 3 teams and had one of its most successful seasons finishing second by a point and gaining automatic promotion to Saturday Premier division.  In 2010, the club was in Saturday amateur’s Premier division with the club growing to 4 senior teams.  Unfortunately in 2010, the club finished last on the table and was relegated back to division 2.  The 2011 season saw the Vipers in a rebuilding phase and turned their focus on competing successfully in division 2 as well as begin to focus on junior development within the club. In 2011, the club fielded only 3 senior teams with all grades finishing mid table.  In 2012, the club remained in division 2 with 3 senior teams but expanded to include 3 junior teams and a little junior development academy.  Our senior teams, that play in Saturday SAASL competition, include 2 teams in division 2, a social C team.  Our junior teams play in the FFSA competition and include under 12s, under 10s, under 9s and a junior development academy.
